We have been very pleased with our rental manager. She has given us some much needed consistency as we are overseas for most of the year. When we do inspections, the units have been maintained at a good level, the tenants are stable and well chosen and she is on top of any pertinent condo and neighbourhood issues.

We really appreciate hearing from her promptly when there is any problem or when something major needs repair or replacement and receiving photos of same. As well, when funds are needed for a renovation, she coordinates with accounting to efficiently utilise rents instead of requesting funds, very important as we are not in the country to organize ourselves.

She is a hard working, friendly and energetic individual who has been a pleasure to work with. We really hope she never leaves Simco!

When I met your rentals manager in 2011, while on a house hunt, I honestly didn't know what to expect! She was from day one, a Professional to the core! Always on time for appointments and promptly delivering on her promises. Whenever issues (repairs) were to be done, Simco Management were never found wanting, their response time ratio is great and they do have amazing handy men who are respectful, courteous and also Professional. After nearly 20 years of self-managing our portfolio of up to 4 rental properties, and wanting freedom to travel in our retirement, we sold one and put the other 3 duplexes in the hands of our rental manager at Simco Management seven months ago. Through word of mouth from reliable sources, we short-listed four firms for interview before making our selection. It seemed to us that good property management firms all charge about the same for their services, so our choice wasn't solely based on money. It was mostly based on a good fit with our values and style.

We were impressed with our rental property manager and that she shared our hope that our long-term tenants would not be adversely affected because of our transition. We were also impressed by Simco's rigour with respect to our mutual due diligence -- ownership, insurance, tenancy agreements, utilities, taxes, accounting and reporting.  As our properties are funding our 'retirement plan', we could ill afford mistakes and misunderstandings. Though it has only been seven months, it has been a difficult fall and winter in Calgary for property owners and property managers. Howevrer, we are still feeling confident enough about Simco to be able to escape from it for a couple of months and leave Simco in charge.

Just a short not to thank you for your participation in  the annual meeting of our condominium.
